Zsolt Szabó replaces Dániel Nagy in M1RA’s driver line-up

2019. August 1.

Shortly before the fifth round of the TCR Europe campaign at Oschersleben this weekend, we were informed that Dániel Nagy and his father had decided to leave M1RA. We have taken note of their decision and will respect it.

Zsolt Szabó will replace Nagy in Oschersleben. The 23 year old driver competed in the WTCR last year, but he did not take part in any championships in 2019.

„We now have to focus on the race ahead of us with Luca Engstler as we fight to win TCR Europe, but it was important for the team to find the right replecament of Dani. We know the abilities of Zsolt and see how motivated he is. I think he defenitely deserves to come back to the grid on an international level” – stated Dávid Bári, the team principal of M1RA.

„Words can’t say how grateful I am to M1RA for this opportunity, but it’s not the time yet to celebrate anything, because I have a lot to learn. This weekend could be one of the biggest challenge of my life but I can’t wait to face it” – said Zsolt Szabó, the new driver of M1RA.
